Wire Wrapped Hanging Hearts 1 day course £55
Copper wire is a wonderful medium with which to make structured decorative jewellery or home decor items. Combined with semi precious stones or Austrian and Czech glass crystal beads you can learn to make a unique piece to give as a special present perhaps for a valentine, anniversary, or Mothers Day gift.
This one day wire wrapping course focuses on the techniques of simple wire wrapping around a frame to create changing decoration for the home.
The first part of the course concentrates on making a single wire heart shaped frame using large wire, followed by learning the skills of creating coiled wraps and flourishes with smaller gauge wire to create a flowing pattern or form that you can then attach gemstones and crystal beads to to make a pretty decorative hanging heart.
By the end of the day you will be able to:
1. Fashion single wire frame using large gauge wire
2. form wrap, coils, and flourishes with medium gauge wire
3. Choose suitable gemstones and crystals and attach securely
4. Use jewellery cutting and forming tools
