Crafty Boaters Christmas Market

In November 2020, we endured another lockdown here in the UK. However, for Martin and I, it was the birth of our new Crafty Boaters Christmas Market.

We have had such a frustrating year with the business. For each lockdown, we had to close the narrowboat and help our customers change the dates of their stay. The craft side of our business did not get a chance to get off the ground much in 2020, and our hopes of attending a craft fair or Christmas Market as we had planned were dashed.

So with social distancing at the top of our list, we decided to organise our own local market in Lechlade-on-Thames. Thus, Crafty Boaters Christmas Market was born.

Martin and I were really pleased with how well the market went down with sellers and local customers. The market had a variety of stalls including woodturners, textiles, ceramics, jams & preserves, crochet and knitting, glass painting, jewellery and clothing.

The market was a success, and more markets are planned for 2021

We have markets planned for next year. One for the Summer, and multiple markets for Christmas 2021
